Age of Empire 3 Strategy Game Introduction

The release of the Age of Empire 3 game sees gamers transported a few hundred years further than the previous Age of Empires games, allowing for small battles and wars to be carried out with guns and cannons instead of the old bows arrows swords and catapults.

Age of Empires 3 is based around the colonial age, feel free to quote if I am wrong, if I remember well, around the 18th century. A time of many conflicts with armies from the European side of the world fighting to claim to the new world, considered to be North and South America.

Playing the Age of Empire 3 game you will have the option to play from 8 world powers, English, Germans, Spanish, French, Dutch, Russian Ottomans, and Portuguese. Each nation will have its advantages and differences in their economy’s and military might, Age of Empires 3 offers many game modes including single and multi player modes.

Playing a single player campaign mode offers plenty of excitement action and intelligent game play offering many hours of fun and interesting gaming. Skirmish mode allows you to play a single game against the computer AI offering a choice of 5 levels of game difficulty.

Age Of Empires 3 also offers a Map Editor allowing players to design custom maps and scenarios.

Some players may find the gaming interface marginally similar to the Command and Conquer series as you will find the navigation and controlling interface bars at the bottom of the screen. This allows for quicker access for managing your towns and controlling your army.

There is only one small fault players of Age of Empires 3 or improvement that would be nice to see in a patch experience. It would be nice to have an on off option so that after selecting multiple troops of various ranks, they could walk at the speeds assigned to each individual unit, instead of the same speed across the map.

Quite different to its predecessors Age Of Empires 3 offers a whole new interface for looking after your town, using your home city you are able to take control of all aspects of the game.

Gamers will experience pretty direct game play with 5 ages to advance through. When it comes to battling if your PC is not up to specifications then you will experience poor game play, some times on the better and above machines if not looked after, because of the size of the Age of Empires 3 game you will experience lag.

Players with a thirst for medieval and RTS type games may just find Age of Empires 3 to be the complex game they are looking for.
